UPDATE ON THE GIRLS--- We have been feeding them 1-1 water/sugar syrup for nearly two months, probably over 20 quarts by now. Thirsty bees! They continue to bring in pollen and nectar from the fall flowers--aster, milkweed, goldenrod--and if the weather keeps up they can continue well into October in these here parts. Well feed them until they go into cluster and pray all winter. But the queen has produced alot of bees quickly, theres lots of activity in and out of the hive. All you can do for such a very late (landed July 22) swarm.
