[**UPDATE ON THE JOB FRONT**] ~ Ive been consulting in corporate technology for about eight years now, within multiple industries, in the following roles: Project Manager, Business Analyst, Technical Trainer & SME, PMO Analyst and Project Coordinator. In addition to my IT experience, I have 16 years in the legal field (legal secretary, legal assistant, paralegal). After the crash in late 2008, my project was cancelled at Nationwide due to major budget cuts, and suddenly, I found myself unemployed. The Ohio job markets were dead and I couldnt even find work in Chicago. So I packed my little bags and moved to New York City. My plan was to rebuild my resume in NYC and then return to Columbus with the hope of landing a permanent role with a really great company. I just had the interview Ive been waiting for. I will hold off on providing the details until I have a firm offer in hand but I will say that its a Project Manager Specialist role with a global bank here in Columbus, and I will be working for senior management in the Global Integration Management Offiice. The best part about this opportunity is that its a contract-to-hire role and will go permanent after six months. Lord knows I need and want to be close to my family, and I have a very strong feeling this could be the blessing Ive been waiting for. Some may encourage me to use wisdom and not count my chickens before they are hatched. While people of faith will liken my boldness to the woman with the issue of blood, whose faith made her whole (Mark 5:25) or Hannah, whom God gave a double portion (1 Samuel 1:5). One thing I know for sure, is that no matter what it looks like or how long it takes, God always keeps His promises. Today and every day, I choose to stand on the promises of God. Yes, God does promise in His Word that He will give us the desires of our heart. However, He always gives us an instruction before He releases our miracle (Psalm 37:4-7). Ive heard His voice and place my complete and total trust in Him. Get ready for an awesome testimony next week! :)
