****** UPDATE ON THE MODELS FOR MIDWEEK STORM ****** GFS versus - TopicsExpress

****** UPDATE ON THE MODELS FOR MIDWEEK STORM ****** GFS versus the EURO ..... The GFS did come in at 18Z a bit stronger showing a 6+ inches for Luzerne County. The 12Z EURO came in with 14-18 inches for Luzerne County. The EURO takes the energy and dives it down into the southeast and then forms a storm and the storm deepens as it moves just south of the Pa. Maryland border. The GFS takes the energy and forms a storm that now has dug a little bit to the south, intensifying as it moves east northeast. I believe these 2 will meet more in the middle and I DO BELIEVE THERE WILL BE A STORM. The norm this winter has been to push the storm further south because of the Polar vortex. There will be a Cold High pressure to the north supplying the cold air, so I dont believe this will be a rain event. Models run every 6 hours and 12 hours. Being 5 days out, look at the picture provided. Thats what anyone would be doing right now if they made a prediction. Model updates will start on the weekend. We will get this storm right, so keep it here.....Thomas.
