UPDATE ON THE PASSAPORTIS FAMILY With thanks to Gillian Dines We have had another most encouraging day with Dave and the continuous progress that hes showing. Mary-Anne visited again today having to be transported to the ICU in a wheelchair as she is still gathering her strength. On arrival there Dave was still undergoing some neurological tests. He was being asked to raise his left arm, which he did, --- to the ceiling! Left leg.. to the ceiling, lift your head, so he tried to sit up to prove that he could lift his head. Right leg ... he managed to lift it a little off the bed, right arm... no movement yet. Prayers for that please. They enjoyed their time together and chatted as best they could. A good day for them both. Mary Anne has told Dave that thousands of people all over the world are interceding in prayer for them and he said WOW! He has been moved out of ICU this afternoon into High care which is a little quieter. His nose plugs, supporting the reconstruction of his nose, have now been removed and so his nose is looking normal again. He is, however, vomiting quite a lot which is of concern as they were hoping to wire his jaw tomorrow so that it could be re-set due to the damage, but that may not be possible due to the vomiting. He may be vomiting due to the brain irritation, the lights, the noise etc as Mary Anne cannot sit in a room with the bright ceiling lights on or with the TV flickering so we were assuming that may be a reason for this. It may also have been a little premature for the oats porridge! Prayer for that also please. Prayer against infection always remains high on the list. Mary Anne is progressing so very well and even sat and had dinner together with us tonight. She had a good nights sleep after seeing the doctor yesterday. The children are having lots of fun with many little friends that are popping in. A jumping castle was delivered by a friend of the familys and has been here since the incident. Their own trampoline and Wendy house was kindly brought in from the farm by their neighbours. I think they believe its a birthday party every day what with the sweets brought in as well!! Love and kindness from everyone is overwhelming and we are being carried by it all. Thank you to you all, especially for all the prayers. God has not left nor forsaken us! May He bless you all. Love from us all here in Harare.
