UPDATE! On November 13, 2014 the VA Roseburg Healthcare System (VARHS), during a routine water sampling, identified positive results for Legionella Pneumophila Serogroup 1 bacteria (Legionella) in Building 2, on the main campus. The hyper-chlorination began November 14, at 7:45 p.m. and was returned to a safe drinking level on November 15, at 11:30a.m. Flushing of the ice machines began November 17, at 9:00 a.m. and is anticipated to be completed by close of business November 17, if not sooner. All water, except ice machines, is safe to use. Sinks, showers, toilets, and water fountains can be used as normal.
