UPDATE: Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed at Knifepoint-Arrest Made On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at approximately 11:00 PM Worcester police were dispatched to Scott Street for a report of an armed robbery involving a pizza delivery driver. Upon arrival, officers met with a male victim who told police that he was attempting to deliver food to an apartment when he was robbed at knifepoint. According to the victim, he was approached by three males who told him to hand over his money and the food. Two of the men were armed with knives and threatened him. The men also rummaged through the victim’s delivery vehicle and stole his prescription pills. The suspects were last seen on Meade Street. On September 3, 2014 investigators working on this incident sent out photographs of the suspects via department wide email for the purpose of obtaining their identifications. One of the suspects was immediately identified by officers as Hector Alicea-Romero, 27-years-old of 94 Woodland Street, Worcester. Mr. Alicea-Romero was located on Scott Street and placed under arrest on an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrants were for several motor vehicle offenses. Mr. Alicea-Romero was transported to police headquarters for booking procedures. While at headquarters he was questioned about the recent robbery. Based on evidence obtained along with information provided by Mr. Alicea-Romero, he was additionally charged with the above Armed Robbery. On Sunday, September 14, 2014 at approximately 8:55 PM a Worcester police officer observed two males matching the description of the additional two suspects walking on Franklin Street towards Foster Street. The officer called for assistance and stopped the men. The two males were positively identified as the suspects involved in the armed robbery. Nicholas Machado, 24, of 9 Backer Street, Apartment 1, Worcester was charged with Armed Robbery. Patrick Harland, 20, of 3 Gavin Way, Apartment 548, South Boston, was charged with Armed Robbery. Mr. Harland also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
