UPDATE SFA CAMILLA: Very slow progress with Camilla. We had hoped that the swelling would have decreased much more than it has. She is still not able to open her eyes due to the inflammation. Much of her skin is sloughing and there remains a great deal of discharge from many aspects of her wound. She is still very painful, guarding her head, from being touched. Pain control is the order of the day for her, today and each day until such time that the swelling is greatly diminished. She has voracious appetite and savors her gruel of canned food mixed with chicken broth and Parmesan. Medication time is a favourite of hers for she relishes in her medication balls of cream cheese. Plan is to continue her two types of antibiotics, pain management and possibly a light sedation on Wednesday to scrub and debride her wounds. She will also have her skull and muzzle radiographed for we fear that she may have some damage to her nasal turbinates. The wonderful thing is that she now wags her tail continuously when she hears her mommy coming to see her; it is no longer tucked tightly between her legs..
