UPDATE TO ANY WHO CARE TO READ: Last Friday was my last day at Gentiva. I feel as if the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders and am free again to pursue my dream and calling. I did what I would have advised anyone against: to leave without any plan for the future - but I believe I made the right decision and feel wonderful. As grace would have it - this week I have already received 5 offers for employment and I had not even begun seriously looking. I now know after a year as a clinical manager in a for profit corporation, that my gifts are at the bedside. I will find a nursing position that matches my calling - at the bedside and serving those who are under served. I think it will be exciting and challenging to travel to places for the government to serve remote areas and help those in most need. This continues to be my dream and what I understand to be my personal calling.
