UPDATE: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum will re-open at 2:30 p.m. today. Early this morning, a staff member of the Santa Fe Children’s Museum discovered a suspicious-looking package on the grounds of the museum, which after police investigation, was destroyed and found to be harmless. We take situations like this very seriously. The Santa Fe Children’s Museum has a strict safety policy to ensure the security of our visitors and staff. In keeping with museum safety protocol, officials evacuated everyone who was onsite at the Museum to St. John’s United Methodist Church while the investigation of the package and the detailed search of the museum and its grounds took place.
