UPDATE on BRODY aka OUR SUPERMAN: Six longs weeks have come and gone since my last update on Brody. He is now 7 ½ weeks old and is still in the PICU at the Medical Center. Many of you have sent private messages asking about Brody and why I haven’t updated, well to be perfectly honest I haven’t known what to say (shocker, I know)! No news has been good news in his case. He came off the ventilator like a champ and has been doing exceptionally well considering everything he has been through in his short time here. Dr. Glenn Brody’s wonderful surgeon wanted him to have a break, to rest, and give his body time to heal! For 6 weeks Superman has been resting up and getting LOTS of LOVE and cuddles in preparation for today. TODAY is a huge day for Brody and all of us. Today is surgery day, the one we have anxiously been waiting and praying for. In just a short time he will go back for a very lengthy surgery where Dr. Glenn will inspect every inch of Brody’s intestines, make any repairs if needed and sew those bad boys back together YAY!!! After surgery Brody will no longer have his ostomy bag and over the next few weeks will actually start getting breast milk and will even be able to poop! It’s amazing the things we take for granted but seeing Brody and knowing his story puts a lot of things into perspective. So right now I am calling out all of our WONDERFUL prayer warriors! Please Pray for Brody today and his awesome team of doctors and nurses who have come to love him dearly and pray for his sweet parents who have not left his side & that long for the day he gets to come home healed! From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU for your continued concern, prayers and the love everyone has shown our families! (I attached some pics of Brody from yesterday. I spent the day with him getting some last minute love and right before I left he smiled and grinned at me so big! Superman knew exactly what Lolli’s heart needed before I had to say goodbye! He is God’s gift for sure and is absolutely precious!)
