UPDATE on KARENS (Muirhead) HEALTH Hi Gateway Family, Charles & Karen have asked that I keep everyone up to date with what is happening with Karens health. Last week the the doctors found a tumor 14cm x 12cm x 5cm around Karens small intestine / pancreas / stomach area. They were not sure how attached the tumor was to her organs. The MRI on wednesday of this week has confirmed they are and that there is significant blood flow attached to the whole are which makes removing the tumor a very dangerous procedure. What makes things worse is that Karen has high blood pressure and a very low immune system. Karens operation has been booked for Tuesday, April 15. This will be a very long, delicate and life threatening procedure. Obviously this news is very troubling for Karen, Charles and Ethan. It is very difficult for Charles to retell the details over an over again. So please keep contact to an absolute minimum. Please use text messages where possible. And we will endeavor to keep you up to date as best we can. On Tuesday we all need to seek the Lord to intervene and put His hand over Karen. Please take an hour or more out of your day on Tuesday April 15 to pray for Karens operation and health. Perhaps you could get together and pray with family or a friends. Please pray that God would guide the surgeons hand, that blood flow would be contained, that the tumor will be able to be removed completely, that Karens immune system would be strengthened and that her blood pressure would be kept stable. Lets pray that God would heal Karen completely from whatever is at the root cause of this tumor, so that when removed it will not return. Most of all lets pray that God would send His Spirit to give Karen, Charles and Ethan strength to get through this time and peace throughout the turmoil.
