UPDATE on Leigh Ann: There is really not a lot to update. Her condition is about the same. All the numbers are moving in the right direction according to the doctors. The hard part for those of us sitting with her is that you cant tell much difference hour over hour. With a breathing tube she stays heavily sedated so she cant tell us much about how she feels. But her doctor is telling me things continue to improve. One thing all the doctors say frequently is, She was/is a very sick girl. Please add something else to your prayer list. Leigh Ann and I had already come to LOVE her doctor before this happened. He is a very nice guy who does genuinely care for his patients. He is one of the most personable doctors we have ever been around. Needless to say he and I have had many conversations in a very short time frame. He was the one standing with me as we made the decision to do surgery at midnight this past Tuesday night. We just had about a 30 minute conversation in which I was able to talk about our faith. He is Hindu. But he is open to talk about this more down the road. It is never as simple as, Well, that is why God allowed / caused Leigh Ann to go through this. God is always working on many different levels. In this case, I know part of what God is doing through this is in my own life. I have no doubt in many lives. Ultimately we know for sure He is bringing glory to Himself. That is His aim and ours. However, I want to be faithful in walking through this open door with our doctor. He really is an amazing guy. He seems to have a super family life and is a great dad. But I want him to be a forever friend. For obvious reasons, I wont post his name, but just pray for him as intensely as you are praying for Leigh Ann. It was great having the ministerial staff from First Conyers come pray with me this morning! I love every one of them. Please continue to pray for Leigh Ann. She has a ways to go, but again, we are heading in the right direction ... slowly but surely. She is going to have quite a story to tell of Gods faithfulness and healing when all of this is behind her. Thank you all and we love you!
