Thank you to the rescues who stepped up and saved the abandoned small dogs. We have added another small dog to this at risk list. He is the first dog pictured. He came into us on Saturday and was friendly. He is not enjoying shelter life and would benefit from a rescue taking him. If anyone has any room please take a moment to look over the list. We also have a horse here that we are looking to send to rescue. Her stray time is up on 12/3. It is a mare. She looks like a draft/Appaloosa cross. The vet has been out to see her. The vet believes she is approximately 20 years old, her heart/lungs sound good, she is a little thin, and she has a couple of large growths down low on her neck. The vet believes the growths to be melanomas but not cancerous. They may be unsightly but harmless. She came in to us as a stray so we dont have any prior information on her. She was dropped off at the local butcher shop, late one night. When the butcher got up in the morning he had a new horse in the goat pen. I have attached her picture.
