UPDATED: Saanich water main break leads to road closure and sink hole Posted date: October 04, 2014in: News watermain IMG_0221IMG_0219 Two homes have been evacuated because of the large sinkhole created by a water main break at Burnside Rd W and Wilkinson Rd. Work crews are cleaning up and trying to contain the damage. They hope to have water back on and the road patched up by the end of the day. Burnside Rd W at Wilkinson Rd is CLOSED. Water pouring onto Highway 1 has also caused problems this morning. Closing the Highway for part of the morning.
