UPDATES!! CINJUN will have a full update posted later today but the short version is that hes scheduled for surgery on Friday to remove his eye (paws-crossed it doesnt become an emergency before then like Kamilla!) In the meantime, he has antibiotics & pain meds & is learning to like me. He didnt have a lot of experience with people up until now but last night, he purred for the first time! Today, hes rubbing his ears all over my hand so I will scratch them. So lots of progress! Hes beautiful & I know hes going to be super sweet by the time hes cleared to adopt so if you are in or around the Atlanta area, get in your apps to pre-adopt now at angelsrescue.org/adopt. DOT has the sneezies this week (as does my little Manx Dragan) so they are both on antibiotics. I expect it to be cleared up right about the time she weighs 2 lbs. and can be spayed & get ready to join Kamilla in her new home. Speaking of Kamilla, mom promised us some pictures as soon as she can get them but Kamilla did great with her surgery and is stuck in a cone for a bit but hopefully this is her last hurdle and she and Dot will live happily ever after with their wonderful family! MIRA is so, so sweet. I just keep hoping and praying that SOMEONE gives her the life she deserves, whether as a foster or an adopter. We spend as much time with her as humanly possible but she needs a full time person to call her own. If you have no other cats (or an FelV+ cat) PLEASE consider Mira. PIPPAs news isnt so great. Although her adopter has been waiting patiently all this time for her to get over her lingering sinus infections, they recently learned that their dog needs a couple of very expensive surgeries so they are no longer able to adopt at this time. Please keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time. As for Miss Pippa, we have dozens of apps to sort through and are hopeful that her forever family is one of those. If not and you are in the Atlanta area, you know what to do. :) DEVIN is making his foster family crazy by trying to dash out the door whenever it is opened. They have to constantly keep their eyes on the ground so he doesnt slip past them. Even though Devin - Our Perfectly Imperfect Angel only has two working legs, hes still super fast! I delivered his Christmas Stocking yesterday, along with some items off the Wishlist that came for him so we know hes going to have a great holiday! Also, stay tuned tonight. We are working on another cat in serious need of help. He has so many things going on... a missing eye, wounds all over him, a mangled ear, broken teeth... poor little guy has lived a really hard life. His name is Alastor Moody & you will see him posted tonight on the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue - CATS page & I will share here too. He will be fostered by the wonderful lady who has Jensen.
