UPER URGENT 9/28/13 Brooklyn Center GIZMO - A0980409 I am an unaltered male, brown and black Yorkshire Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old. I weigh 7 pounds. I was found in NY 11420. I have been at the shelter since Sep 28, 2013 Gizmo was surrendered to BACC today because his owners could no longer afford his medical care. Gizmo is unable to bear weight in his hind legs, but gets around by pulling himself along using his front legs. Gizmo’s former owners said he has been having trouble with his legs for the past year, but has really deteriorated over the past 5 months. Our vet suspects that Gizmo has Intervertebral Disk Disease which will require follow up vet care. Medical Initial: Green Scan negative. Allows handling & petting. Geriatric. Severe tartar & gingivitis. Intact male. Non weight bearing rear legs. Checked by Dr. Demmerle- will put re-exam.
