@UPSC@ Make any change, any number of times, any time, at any level, under anybodys pressure....those who have the devotion towards studies will always say, Hum toh mohabbat karenga(civil services se). N those are the ones who will carry studying amidst all the shrill n ultimately those are the ones who will make it to the services. Anyways those who were on fast n protesting are not preparing for this years attempt(i can name a few from Mukherjee Nagar). Hidden agenda:- remove CSAT so that we can rattaut(mug up) things(those who come with 5 years long plan to make it to the services). It is rightly said that in India reforms are necessity n not luxury. Unless we are on the verge of breaking, we dont accept any reforms. Mr. DP Agarwal, ur fault was that u tried to be proactive. Sorry for failing you but we are just too status quoist... Some points to ponder about:- 1)Remove CSAT if its necessary. We(devotees)wud still make it!! 2)There is this baseless allegation that CSAT favors engineering background students because of maths. Well m a medico n never was in any sort of touch with maths after my 10th. However u shud be wise enough to differentiate between mathematics n simple arithematics. 3)They say that in 2009 there were 25% students from hindi medium. Now it has got decreased significantally. Well....who said that there has to be minimum those many students from a perticular region or language?? In that case give 25%reservation to these folks. Anyways we are desensitized with a magical number of 73 in Maharashtra, as far as reservation is concerned. 4) All the debate is centered around region n regional prides. Well try being national, it wud be much easier to make it to all india services. 5)In yesterdays debate @CNN IBN it was correctly mentioned that this exam is more about exclusion and not inclusion. There will always be filtration at every level. Answer is not lowering the bar but rising to the occassion. P.S. Had we been protesting rather than studying when UPSC changed its syllabus upside down last year, wudnt have made it to the final list anyways.
