URGENT 2 Volunteers needed izmir TURKEY EAST WEST CAMP 2014 30.08.2014 – 13.09.2014 Afacan Youth House – IZMIR Where is East, Where is West? East-West Camp co-organized by Genctur and YASOM for socially and economically disadvantaged youth of Turkey in order to empower them via non-formal education activities. This year it will take place for the 7th consecutive year in Afacan Youth House, Izmir between 30th August and 13th September. 15 university students from different cities of Turkey will have a chance to experience intercultural learning during this camp with the help of foreign volunteers. With facilitation of the 2 YASOM leaders, volunteers are expected to contribute activities of the camp. We are is looking for 2 volunteers who are able to organize, run and lead activities for the participants in at least one of the following areas: English, sport, drama, music, hess, indoor-outdoor games, handicraft, dance, etc. Note that some participants may only have very basic or no English skills. Volunteers should cover their own visa and travel costs. Volunteers will be accommodated in 3-4 bedded rooms with Turkish participants in Afacan Youth House (afacan.info). Food will be supplied at the campsite with vegetarian options.
