URGENT APPEAL FOR SAM AND JESS We have had an email this morning regarding these two cats I am desperately trying to find a forever or foster home for my mums two elderly cats. Sadly my mum passed away last week, leaving behind a beautiful chocolate point 18 year old tonkinese boy and his 17 year old calico half sister. They are very bonded to each other and have lead very quiet cosseted lives in my mothers flat with no outside access or exposure to other pets or kids. At this age I would say they are almost beyond their twilight years and will be impossible to re home, but my mum made me promise I would look after them! I live in London and already have two cats otherwise I might subject them to the journey with sedatives as a last resort. They would not cope with boarding in a cattery or rescue home so I am phoning various organisations to see if anyone would be willing to foster them for the remainder of their lives. This would be a special rescue mission for an experienced fosterer who would give them comfort for what little time they might have left. Sam has a touch of arthritis and limps on one front paw general old age I think but otherwise they are both healthy I would be willing to cover the cost of any vet bills if that would be an incentive as I know that a lot of potential fosterers would worry about the costs for two old cats. If anyone can help this lady or knows of someone who might be able to give them a home please contact the shelter direct. Thank you
