Nick Lyon (DCH) is the person, with Gov. Snyder, that is making all the decisions of budget cuts for Oakland County. Points that were brought up at Judson Center last night. 1. The need to Restore the 14 million dollars that the Federal government, through AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, gave to Michigan for the DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED . 2. The state said, that because Oakland County had millions in reserves, State decided to spread it around in various AGENCIES like HEALTHY MICHIGAN and not give OCCMHA the 14 million. 3. OCCMHA has refused to give any money in their reserves to the agencies serving our loved ones. 4. OCCMHA did not have any budget reductions from the state---but imposed a 6% on all the agencies it serves in Oakland County resulting in cuts to: Facility/Community Based Programs, Lasher Respite Home, Hickory Grove Respite Home, Group Home budgets.
