URGENT! Our President could use NDAA to install Martial Law and begin a third term. We can prevent this and stop the imposition of Martial Law from destroying our Constitution. Study the text of the US SOVEREIGNTY & STATES RIGHTS AMENDMENT. Only State Legislatures can Amend the Constitution under Article V, while bypassing Congress, the Courts and Executive Branch. State Legislators are our last defense for restoring our Constitutional Republic. They are the final arbiters in all Constitutional matters. The sovereignty the States enjoyed under the Articles of Confederation was transferred in Article V to State Legislatures changing only the unanimous vote requirement to ¾’s of the States. CITIZEN INITIATIVES is serving State Legislatures by facilitating the Calls, Delegate Resolutions, Convention Deliberations and Ratification process. We need you to help us with each of the following: 1. Sponsor or Co-sponsor a Call on Congress to convene the United States Sovereignty and States Rights Amendment. A sample Call can be downloaded at: citizeninitiatives.org/calls_on_congress.htm 34 States Legislatures are needed to force Congress to convene this Limited Convention. The text for the proposed Amendment is not to be included in this Call on Congress. The title of the Call should be: United States Sovereignty and States Rights Amendment. 2. Sponsor or Co-sponsor the United States Sovereignty and States Rights Amendment in your Legislature. Ask your State Legislature to approve the language of the Amendment. If you plan to make changes or recommendations you are welcome to do so. We will coordinate your changes with others States to come up with a final draft. You will again have the opportunity to approve the final draft. However, it is imperative that the final text be identical for at least 26 Calling States. While the Calls are being completed by State Legislatures, begin studying the text for the Delegate Resolution for the United States Sovereignty and States Rights Amendment. This is the document that will govern the conduct of your delegates at the Convention. Delegates are Ambassadors of their Legislatures, not free agents as some have foolishly argued. It is imperative that 26 Calling States approve the Delegate Resolution as written or with as few changes as possible. The document includes the wording of the Amendment that the delegates will be required to vote on at the Convention. The Delegate Resolution is what will make the deliberations at the Convention safe, predictable and successful. Under Article V of the United States Constitution, your State Legislature alone has the authority to appoint delegates and govern the deliberations at the Convention. No other agency or branch of State government is required for the passage and enforcement of this Resolution. Do not abdicate you sovereign authority in this matter.
