URGENT!! We need your HELP!! Cheyenne Cassidy, my daughter, found this neglected family of dogs on her trip back from Eagle Lake & brought it to my attention. There is a momma dog (black one) with 4 puppies about 4-5 weeks old, a white male & a tan male. The tan male for some reason is not in as bad of shape as the other 2. The black momma & white male are very, very skinny and all are infested with fleas & ticks. The 4 puppies all have hair missing & I am sure it’s from their living conditions. The white male looks to have a possible old gunshot wound to the back hip area. They are at a house were an elderly man lives alone & they are all dumped dogs. He said he had asked for help before with them but no one would help him. He has been feeding them what he can; weenies & vienna sausages. Cheyenne went back to town & got 2 bags of dog food & can food for the puppies, (the mom does not want to feed them anymore), feeding trays & we feed them. The elderly man was so thankful he cried, he said he was doing all he could & he was sad for them. I told him we would help him. I had capstar with me so I gave a dose to all of them. I know it isn’t a preventative or doesn’t work on ticks, but it was what I had in the truck at the time. Our plans are to get the momma, 4 babies & white male to the vet tomorrow or Wednesday for much needed medical attention. The elderly man promised us he would feed them for us until we came back for them. We need help with donations to get them to the vet asap for medical attention. Once they are vetted & given the all clear, medically, we will bring them to Boarding for Rescues where they can heal; body & soul. We will get them back on all 4 healthy paws & find them their forever homes they deserve. If you could help us with any amount of donation for medical it would be greatly appreciated. You can make the donation to Boarding for Rescues on our website @ boardingforrescues/Services-Prices-Donate.html Please put “102 Family” in the comments/notes when you donate. If you would like, you can make a donation straight to our vet clinic: Alamont Veterinary Clinic Wharton, Texas 979-532-5569 Call between 8am-5pm Please let the receptionist know payment is for “102 Family” under Melissa Parr. Thank you all for your help, caring & also sharing this post for help! Thanks Cheyenne for being observant to the helpless, the voiceless & having the heart to not be afraid to help no matter what!
