US$ 60 billion. Thats what the recent arms deal between the US and Saudi Arabia totaled. Theres a quote from Prince Naif, the recently appointed heir to the throne of the House of Saud, where he states that the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice is a pillar of Islam. Sadly, the Prince is wrong. This is not a pillar of Islam, nor has it every been. Maybe it might be a pillar of the ultra-fundamentalist interpretation of Islam that is practiced by the Saudis known as Wahabism. But then, the rest of the Muslim world doesnt follow this school of thought as it is not one of the 4 accepted schools of thought in Islam. But, then they are best friends with America so they can treat women however they want. If that friendship were to ever end, the House of Saud would fall and the world would be free of terrorism... but who in The West really wants that... right? :)
