US President Barack Obama’s healthcare plan took a big step back - TopicsExpress

US President Barack Obama’s healthcare plan took a big step back Tuesday when administration officials announced that the mandate requiring employers to provide insurance coverage to workers or else pay a penalty will not go into effect until 2015, one year behind schedule. The 2010 law requires companies with 50 or more full-time employees to offer affordable health insurance unless they are willing to face fines. Corporate advocacy groups have complained that the changes are too drastic to be completed so quickly. The delay is not expected to affect individual Americans who will be required to have insurance by January 2014 or face an additional tax burden. - death - july 3rd 2013 - rt news
