USA ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION NEWS: Obama mulls over solution for 5 million illegal immigrants 14 Aug 2014 United States President Barack Obama can not legally stop all deportations without incurring a legal issue and a political one, but the White House have indicated that it would be willing to do more or less ambitious: to protect from deportation for at least 5 million immigrants. At least that’s what sources close to the discussions have leaked to the media, but the White House insisted again today that authorities are “considering all their options”. Obama said clearly he will be acting in the coming weeks and his government spokesman has said this will happen “in late summer.” In the absence of immigration reform, pro-immigrant groups have given a wish list and some even require acting “big” with a moratorium on all deportations, but that possibility has been ruled out by legal experts. “You can not make everyone happy in this debate. Obama administration will not going to be able to stop all deportations or give permanent residency but may give work permits to those who are not a danger to America,” said Bob Sakaniwa analyst Bar Association American Immigration (AILA). Obama has said he will act “with or without the help of Congress” and the White House insists that awaits the recommendations of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The US Senate approved Comprehensive Immigration Reforms Act last year which is stalled in the House of Representatives where the Democrats do not have majority. Republicans have already indicated that the Immigration Reforms Act will not go for vote this year. There are over eleven million undocumented immigrants in the United States who would benefit from the possible immigration reforms, however, the opponent strongly oppose any move that would provide pathway to citizenship to those who entered the country illegally. The number of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border of the United States is also increasing due to hesitation of the government to act on the immigration reforms. Human traffickers are making the innocent believe that they will get the citizenship under the new immigration immunity.
