USAID finalized a new $5 million agreement with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to build the capacity of the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) and enhance the use of climate change science for decision-making across the Eastern Caribbean. USAIDs assistance will create a regional climate change center of excellence at CIMH to support Eastern Caribbean countries in adapting to the significant climate change impacts they are experiencing, all of which threaten tourism, fisheries, agriculture and food and economic security, particularly for those most vulnerable.
