USC Kaufman faculty William Forsythe is recognized as one of the worlds foremost choreographers. We at USC Kaufman would like to begin to introduce Professor Forsythe to our current and prospective students by highlighting some of his most interesting, innovative works. Forsythes Solo (1995) is a black and white film shot by Thomas Lovell Balogh and Jess Hall. Forsythe dances in a way that is both expressive and neutral. Forsythes eccentric body movements are accompanied by, instead of dictated by, the score by frequent Forsythe collaborator, Thom Willems.
