USCIS Officers Immigrant visa interview in Indian Embassy and Consulates : Recently my wife had a date for her immigrant visa . 4 officers interviewed her . Some were very rediculous questions almost to the point of age discrimination and so many other discrimination too. She was asked how can the age difference be so much between us . Will we be sleeping in the streets of USA ? THis is after fully furnishing affidavit of support with full evidence that i make more than twice the federal poverty guidelines . Oh now it get even stranger , they wanted to interview the husband a US citizen also . 2 officers interviewed me . I was staying with my wife since almost over a year they said perhaps I am no longer a resident of USA . They wanted the proof of my voting records and I gladly provided that too as i had saved a copy of voting in November 2014 elections. How can a USA citizen loose his residency in a state ? I never knew this . I can fully understand the questions that concerns national security and financial strength per US fed poverty guidelines but silly questions of caste, age differences etc.? These officials feel they have supreme power and authority and in the manner they question proves that . I need to prove that I still am conncetwith my state even after providing officals my bank statements , realestate investments etc too . Yes there is no one to question these officiait seems and seems they have no limitations in the manner they behave toward applicants for immigrant visas. Hope US Government takes a look and make these officials more human while doing their duties as per the Laws of the United States of America.
