USING GEL WOOD STAIN on sanded bricks really improved the finish. Ive read about using wood stain on various surfaces (latex, concrete), and am really happy with all the projects Ive tried, especially these bricks. The bricks on the back wall are marked continental shag bark ; I was going to tile over them, but Ive grown fond of the Harry Potter Diagon Alley look of those bricks, so now the plan is to stain the concrete and grout, and let the old brick work shine through.
