USPS Barnum Stamp Dedicated at The Barnum Museum Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 2pm Bridgeport U.S. Postmaster, Gary Thompson will dedicate the new U.S. Postal Service Vintage Circus Posters Stamps at a special ceremony. Thompson will be joined by Kathy Maher, Executive Director of The Barnum Museum, Mayor Bill Finch, and representatives from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the new stamps, receive an official USPS P.T. Barnum Special Pictorial Postmark and enjoy circus themed activities and displays. Continuing a long tradition, Luigis Italian Pastry in Bridgeport will be providing a birthday cake for the guests. Guests are asked to please bring a non-perishable food item to the museum on July 2. All donations will go to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission to help our Bridgeport families. Free to the public in honor of Barnum’s birthday.
