USS Discovery from 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1/3200 scale. Ive shown a pic of her in raw form from Shapeways - in Frosted Ultra Detal (FUD) - tho finally got her base coat applied today. I used Rustoleum Automobile Primer, then two very light costs of Tamiya AS-20 Insignia White. The only other painting Ill do to her is to slightly darken the engine bells, gloss white the cans and then lightly apply Tamiya Clear Blue in an attempt to show an engine glow. Ive also included a 1/4105 scale USS Ronald Reagan in some shots to give an idea of her real scale. Keep in mind, tho, that Discovery is larger than she would be next to The Gipper.
