Ubisofts decision to cancel the Assassin’s Creed Unity Season - TopicsExpress

Ubisofts decision to cancel the Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass and to give a free (I presume digital) game to those who already purchased it is an interesting move. I would imagine this allows AC team to focus on fixing some of the crippling bugs (some of which are featured below) and also start working on the next Assassin’s Creed game earlier, giving more time to polish the game without the need to produce all of DLC content planned for Unity. Yannis Mallat and his team at Ubisoft Montreal are extraordinarily talented people, and the only reason for all these bugs and glitches is in the limited amount of time they had –the curse of the yearly iterations of hit games. Knowing many of the people working on AC, I bet they are very upset that they were not allowed to reach the quality they wanted within the given time frame. Been there, done that. The brutal realities of video game finances require yearly iterations and the demands of the market require ever-higher quality and quantity of features demands more and more from the game makers every year. Anything that can be done to give the developers breathing space to do the best game they can is a welcome development. https://youtube/watch?v=LuX7-jOZcL4
