Uche denies Keshi’s allegation Super Eagles striker Ikechukwu Uche has denied claims by Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi that he is waiting to be begged before he would honour an invitation to play for Nigeria. Keshi had on Wednesday revealed that the Villarreal striker was not invited to be part of the African Nations Cup team to play Congo and South Africa because he is demanding an apology from him. Keshi had dropped Uche from the World Cup team on the allegation that he refuses to play to instruction. This claim by Keshi was faulted by experts who indictated that a player who plays for technical European sides cannot be accused of lacking in technical displine. But in a swift reaction to this accusation, the former Getafe player said he never demanded for any special treatment to play for his country. “It’s an honour to play for Nigeria. I don’t expect to be begged or given special treatment. I’m available when/if considered for selection,” Uche wrote via his Twitter handle.
