Ugh! Two sick kiddos in my house...Prayers appreciated! Grayson has continued to have diarrhea and the booty rash/burn is awful. He is in such pain. What I worry about is open sores and infection getting in. I was up with him most of the night...everytime he went potty, it pained him. I ended up sleeping with him cause he wouldnt let me leave. Sweet boy had to be holding my hand and head on my face. He slept okay when he wasnt having a bout but mama, not so much. I Took him to the doctor in town this morning (they are SO good to us...straight back to a room and seen immediately plus they err on the side of caution!). They gave us some meds to help the booty rash as well as culturing the stool for everything. Pretty sure its just a bug as apparently a stomach bug that last 7-10 days is going around. We would be on day 6, so maybe were reaching the end. Low grade fevers (nothing of concern) and feeling fine other than a sore bottom. Then, I picked up Kate from school and my friend, Jennifer Kennedy Bickley asked if she was feeling okay, she said No... Felt her head, she was burning up. 101.8. Once the Tylenol kicks in, she is hard to keep down...scooters, dancing, etc. She is such an active kid...then when she resumes this position on the couch, I know the fever is back. We are assuming both kids are fighting the same bug, although Kate has no tummy issues...her body simply may be fighting it better (according to docs), its amazing what am immune system can do! ;) Anyways, please pray this is a quick passing bug for BOTH kids, that nothing further develops or comes back with anything crazy in Gs cultures, and no fevers for G over 100.4 (not gonna lie...really dont want to go to the ER and admit!). Brady is in Jacksonville tomorrow and I have a meeting with an attorney to get some guidance for forming a 501(c)3 so please also pray for rest tonight, patience tomorrow, and that I can be what both kids need/want.
