Ugo Foscolo, a famous poet from Italy, centuries ago said the fulcrum of life is the grave .. indicating that whats relevant is the memory of you you leave behind.. and thats after all what matters.. Another poet known as Giacomo Leopardi spent half of his life writing poetries the pivot of which was all about reason of men is the way, nature is the enemy and then he spent the second half of his life writing things about the exact opposite of his original meaning just because his reason made him write so much and for so many years that at the end he became hunchbacked ! The whole capitalism came from a religious idea known as the Calvinistic ethic and the spirit of capitalism.. The idea was all about the option of accumulation as the only way to know if god likes us (therefore we will go to heaven) or not.. The equation was simple : we cannot know if god likes us or not.. so the only thing we can do is the attempt to accumulate richness .. if we are lucky that means that god likes us.. and over and over and over.. I guess that the fulcrum of this issue is to be observed in this basilar question : why do we pay so much attention to the value of doing things ? We are living, existing and thinking.. is it not this fact a fact in which we do something ? From this doing something, which is existing, our intelligence should arise in serenity, in reason, in psychological progress and immaculate perception.. then reflecting itself socially and in the development of the civilization of the species..
