(Uh oh, Gregory Harris I feel a rant coming on. lol) Seriously, Love my family so hopefully none of them that are on facebook get mad at me for this next confession. Even though for the most part I think the ones that are on facebook dont fall into this catergory. If they did they wouldve unfriended me long ago. lol But I come from a family where to get mad, hold a grudge and stop speaking to each other is the norm. I come from a family that not only will they get mad and stop speaking to you for years at time but they could see you in the street and look the other way kind of mad at you. I have to admit that being raised in this kind of environment and upbringing has caused me to have to battle when I did get saved not to keep repeating this perpetual cycle. If only I could say I have reached perfection in this area but we can all press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. But when it comes to love and forgiveness I am fighting and the Lord is constantly at work on & in me to not hold onto nothing and to walk in love and forgiveness. I think its one of the most challenging aspects of being a Christian believer because truth is as people in this flesh suit we can often rub each other the wrong way. It takes maturity however to forgive, (do your best to forget) and move on. I am still amazed by how we as believers can have a disagreement about something and totally want to completely break ties to the person who is your brother and/or sister in Christ. I pray that no matter what I say on my page or what debates go on that at the end of the day (sorry for that saying cause I hate it too. lol) we can agree to disagree, still love each other and go on right where we left off as if there was no riff. Now granted there are times when God himself will remove ppl out of your life but this shouldnt be us and our doing to just go all willy nilly cutting people off. I understand if its more healthy to separate for a season but be willing to forgive, love and if the Lord wills come back together. Ok, well this rant was kind of long so my apologies. lol.
