Uhuru Kenyatta is being misled by former Dictator Daniel Moi who ruled Kenya for 24 years with iron fist. Mois roadside declarations became law instantly. He detained without trial and tortured each and every dissenting voice. A number of outstanding politicians disappeared only for their mutilated bodies to be retrieved in some thicket somewhere in isolated parts of Kenya. Does the script read familiar? Oh yes! The dictator has reincarnated again, this time round in his political protegé Uhuru Kenyatta, the man he sought to force down the throats of Kenyans in 2002 to no avail. Incidentally, Uhuru Kenyatta is now at the helm of a country whose successive Presidential Polls have been dogged by blatant cases of widespread irregularities which made it possible for him to ascend to power. Since having his case withdrawn by ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda in controversial circumstances, Mr. Kenyatta has transformed himself into a dictator insensitive to the letter of the Constitution. Thursday morning, CORD allied legislators caused violent disruptions to a special session of the National Assembly as it became clear that the Uhuru-led Jubilee administration was determined to pass the contentious Security Laws (Ammendments) Bill which a majority of Kenyans are opposed to.
