Ukrainian army: pro-Russian forces resume mortar fire in breach of ceasefire Militants have resumed mortar fire on the positions of #Ukrainian servicemen in the anti-terrorist operation area, the press centre of the North operational command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said on its Facebook page. At about 1100 today, 23 September, militants opened fire with mortars in the area where one of the units of the North operational command was carrying out operations. The direct violation of the memorandum (signed in Minsk 20 September to build on the protocol establishing ceasefire signed in Minsk 5 September) continues, the firing continues, it said. It noted that, as of 1150, the military units of the North operational command had not suffered losses. The servicemen continue to hold their positions, guard main camps, checkpoints, platoon strongpoints. Conditions have been ensured for #OSCE representatives to work in order to record any violations of the cease-fire by illegal armed formations in the area of responsibility of the North operational command.
