Ukranian Egg. I used to make these years ago. In the Ukraine, eggs are a symbol of fertility. They are made only for pregnant women to give them blessings for a health child. This (real with no holes poked in it) was presented to me when I was pregnant with my son 29 years ago! It is still in perfect condition. Didnt take the best pics back then, I know, but thought you might like this. Everything on the egg has symbols. Dove is for Peace, yellow color are seeds, rake is for harvest, butterfly is for resurrection and of course the cross is for faith. Even the colors have symbolism. The egg is made with a wax reverse process with a special beeswax and special styluses. The egg doesnt smell because the yolk dried up years ago and it is light as a feather! Enjoy!
