You are not obliged to run the full distance and can turn back at any stage. Individual assistance (shorter, slower runs) can be organised for potential members. For further information, ring or text Lauri on 0438 44 55 73. RATS Sunday Run - 1 June: Last Sunday morning in Ulladulla was very wet. Accordingly, we have four potential nominations for the woos of the year award and one for the drowned RAT award. Five RATS turned up at McDonalds on Sunday morning for the weekly hit out. Numbers were down due to the Sydney events. However, as the rain was fairly solid, Rose, Ian, Tim and Jake all decided to head home for some indoor training, or maybe for an early coffee. Only Steve headed out into the elements for a solo effort, showing the sort of dedication that earned him a state title the day before. He was just a little damp on his return to base. Next Sunday’s Run: Another RATS classic: the Walter Hood Run. About 26km for the full journey - but - it is an out and back course, so you can turn and return at any stage. This run starts at the highway and runs gradually down hill to the beach and an old ship wreck memorial: The Walter hood. The return trip is mainly uphill, but fairly steady - not too steep. Meet at the corner of the Highway and Mondayong Road (directly opposite Twelve Mile Road) at 6.30am. About 3/4km north of the Bendalong Road turnoff. Midweek Training: Tuesday: 6:15am, meet at Macca’s car park, up to 10km. Wednesday: 6am, meet at Narrawallee Inlet – interval training - or flat running - suitable for beginners, distances from 1.7km. Thursday: 4pm - beginners walk/run, with encouragement and support - up to 4km - by arrangement, please ring Lauri on 0438445573. Friday: 6:15am, meet at Mollymook Surf Club car park, up to 10km.
