Una Happy Sunday! A while ago,our conversation shifted to Mimis parents.They live in Gusau,Zamfara.They have lived there like forever.They have decided to shelve this years Christmas homecoming.It is not that they are afraid of kidnappers in the East because the scourge has somehow been subdued. They want to return to the village in February during the general election.Good thinking,isnt it?Then i called my brother and his wife in Kaduna and Chinedu in Katsina.I lost contact with my cousins in Gombe and Maiduguri but they are all probably planning to return to the East during the general elections in February like those i spoke with.That is the only guarantee of safety for non-indigenes living in volatile parts of Northern Nigeria.PDP governor of Katsina state has already been caught on tape asking his supporters to kill and crush political opponents like cockroaches.It is PDP Jonathan versus APC Buhari once again.The stage look well set. While we hope for a violence free election,it is advisable to save some money from the Christmas shopping and buy a Southbound ticket in February.Do not wait for the army or police or the Ohaneze to organize a bus lift in times of crisis.Save your very own arse and that of your dependents! The government,army,police,SSS,cant protect you!!Dont claim you dont know this!!
