Under-13s 7/12/14 After a competitive opening Stockton took the lead, but not for long as Matty Phillips did brilliantly to make space for himself & thread a ball through to Alex Littlefair who calmly rounded the keeper & slotted home. Stockton nearly regained the lead, but were denied by a spectacular save by Will Spencer in the Rangers goal. Nathan Warwick then played in Louis O’Neill for ranger whose shot was just saved. Louis then floated a beautiful ball in for Alex to head Rangers in the lead with his second goal & to help earn Alex Man of the Match after a brilliant performance. Stockton equalised within 2 minutes & then with 5 minutes left Stockton broke forward for a 3-2 lead. Rangers never gave up & full back Liam Stamp won the ball in his own half & went charging forward down the left wing & fired in a Fantastic shot into the far top corner of the goal from the corner of the box to equalise. Alex nearly snatched it at the death for Rangers, but fired just wide. Alex was pushed close for man of the match after great performances from Matty, Will & Al Stevens. Centre Backs James Macalister & Aaron Reed also deserve a mention for really battling at the back.
