Under a Rock so easy to slip into a mood of moral abstinence, a stoic sabotage at the expense of happiness wearing the tint of sardonic sunglasses, macabre as a satanic bassline – dum dum… dum dum… dum dum, a rhythm distraught by its own creation. drive mental highways at night without headlights, speed past a limit unlisted and unknown, account for curves no more than the moment they come – no matter, just far from any broken ladder to step on, each press of the accelerator presupposes anti-matter like gazing into a midnight forest unaware what of stares back. smoke is an obvious consequence to flame, wet socks result from splashing still water, unbound pages of poetry blow in a breeze, and small pebbles dwell in between toes on sand. soap cannot erase the cause of human stain, we can only separate and cut dead weight – aim the arrow against fragile strings of fate with every intention of letting go to concentrate. never allow an unsolved enigma to wait, for under a rock, there hides always a snake.
