"Under the same First Amendment rights that are allowing Honor - TopicsExpress

"Under the same First Amendment rights that are allowing Honor Flight veterans and their families to visit the veterans memorials on the National Mall, other groups will be granted access to the park for First Amendment activities in accordance with National Park Service established regulations," Litterst said in a statement. Litterst is a spokesman for the National Parks Service. No one is "allowed" to visit the veterans memorials because of their First Amendment rights. They are ENTITLED to visit them because they belong to the citizens of the United States, not the federal government. We paid for them with our taxes, our hardwork and some with their lives. Visiting the memorials and monuments is not a privilege, it is our right as Americans!
