Underage driving cases in the Capital have become a major headache for Delhi Traffic Police. Despite its best efforts, the number of such cases has increased dramatically this year. Last year, total 7,586 minors were prosecuted for driving vehicles. However, this year the figure has already crossed 4,000-mark. The drive initiated by the law enforcement agency two years ago to curb “underage driving” menace could not last long due to the shortage of manpower.
