Understanding and improving well-being requires a sound evidence - TopicsExpress

Understanding and improving well-being requires a sound evidence base that can provide policymakers and citizens with an indication that life is getting better. Since well-being data tends to be subjective, it needs to be collected with large and representative samples and in a consistent way across different population groups and over time. Until not so long ago, we thought we didnt know enough about subjective well-being to build it into measures of societal progress. See how measures of subjective well-being are capable of capturing valid and meaningful information and learn about OECDs most recent recommendations on data collection, including some prototype question modules. europa.eu/!ch37wc
