Unfortunately also on this day, 10 years ago, I lost my father to cancer. My mother a father divorced when I was young and my mother did not allow my dad to see us that much. He was a brick layer and liked his beer. Not until I joined the military did we start to connect , I would write and call him from every duty station I was at. When I got out of service, I moved him down to SC with me. We got to spend some good time together, I miss his jokes a lot , I miss having lunch every Thursday with him, and checking lottery tickets together. He won a lot of the little pots. He smoked and lost his life to cancer. He actually died on the 31th, but today was the last time I was able to tell him I loved him, before they put him under. I hope I made you proud, I enjoyed our time together and miss you a lot . I think of you every time I hear this song, so today, this ones for you. Live Like You Were Dying
