Unfortunately for him, it’s not only pain that hits him. Soon Kiba fell to his knees and starts gasping for air. “Gah! Wh-“ This, of course, attracts the few passersby, who start flocking towards him. Meanwhile, the boy merely watches, silently. Kiba stares back with horror, before his vision starts getting g blurry. “Someone! Call an ambulance! This man needs help!” An elderly man bellowed with his gruff voice. “O-okay!” A female high school student readily replied first. She was about to reach for her bag when Kiba unexpectedly stood up; a sudden move that surprised – and baffled - all of them. “St-strange…. I…I feel okay….” Eyeing him, who indeed look very healthy as if nothing has happened before, the old man asked, “Are you sure…?” There is a hint of apprehension on his voice, but Kiba doesn’t realize this. The crow, meanwhile, has already moved their attention towards the foreign boy, and starts talking between themselves. This seems to cause him great distress, and he starts making inaudible noises and his eyes starts tearing up. “Still, you might want to check on your condition in a doctor, lad. Look at you, a mess! And where’s your coat?!” the old man said, before moving on to the boy as well. “And who are you, young man? Are you a lost foreigner?” he asked. Not the sort of fatherly voice, but friendly enough. But not enough to solicit a positive reaction, as the boy snarled at him, causing the old man to back away. “What with him?!” the crowd’s murmuring grows louder. “Pardon me, excuse me.” A familiar voice can be heard as someone is trying to find his way through the crowd. Doctor Josef, it turns out. He’s still smiling, of course, and it seems to widen as he sees the boy. “Pedro, my dear. How could I forget, I’ve already tagged you, haven’t I? ‘Tag? “Is he your son, sir?” the old man asked. “Oh, no~ he’s not my son. But I can say he’s precious to me. Too bad, he got a tendency to wander away, silly me, how could I be that neglectful!” The old man sighed. “Tch, young’uns these days. Well, next time, don’t be like that anymore!” He then turns towards Kiba again. “And you, go see a doctor!” he said, which is responded with a nod. After this, the old man leaves, followed by the others, who left with mixed emotions and confused. Noticing the bite mark on Kiba’s forearm, the Doctor takes hold of it and examined it closely. “Did he bite you…?” “Ye-yeah.” For the first time, as Kiba notices, the Doctor seemed very surprised that his smile falters. “And…you…survived…?” “After moments of pain and some difficulty breathing. Why?” He shakes his head. “No…nothing. Hmm…Fascinating….” The Doctor began a long muse, while still holding onto Kiba’s arm. This starts to unnerve him. “Okay then. You better come with me. I got some treatment for you, just in case.” He says after musing. “Eh? But treatment for what?” “Poison.” “What?! Where did it come from?!” The Doctor graciously points a finger to the Brazilian boy. “Here, my precious.” “O…oh.” Now to Kiba, it’s starting to become clear for him to confirm something; this man is indeed frightening. In strange way. “Okay, precious what, exactly.” The doctor, returning to his saintly smile, gestured for him to come closer, and he did the same too, before whispering into his ears. “Precious subject, that is!”
