Unfortunately, you cannot measure average temperatures around the globe with a single thermometer. Nor can you prove the absence of a trend that has been occurring for decades with the comparison of two years data. This video presents a drastic oversimplification of climate science, chock full of empty rhetoric and hypocrisy. How ironic that Louisiana of all states (think, Hurricane Katrina) is fielding a conservative candidate whose platform is merely an industry-backed tirade against modern scientific reasoning. Any true conservative concerned about the increasing size of government should also be concerned about climate change because the inevitable result of worldwide climate change is an increase in the size of government; to handle disaster relief, agricultural failures, disease control, and exacerbated national security threats. Simply put, we are super-charging risks and crossing irreversible thresholds into frightening, uncharted territory, the prospect of which should excite conservative opposition. And it has, just look at the recent bi-partisan climate risk management study, riskybusiness.org/. How about, rather than deny the existence of what truly is an inconvenient truth using faulty reasoning (similar to that showcased here in the Lenar Whitney campaign video), lets work together to find economically viable solutions to the problem. I wish more CONSERVATIVES would act appropriately... Is ignorance strength? No, its a tool used by charlatans to extract personal gain.
