Unfortunately, you know youre from Barrington when the Courier wants to charge you $400 for your Mothers obituary..... so Ill just post it here... Rosemarie Orlea Lang, 80, of Trego WI, quietly left her physical form at Miller Dwan Hospital in Duluth MN, on December 4, 2014, and entered her vision of Heaven - undoubtedly in a loud and glorious manner. Rosemarie was born on April 3, 1934 to Henry and Elizabeth Orlea in Danville, Il. She grew up on the family farm, graduated from Westville High School and escaped to Eastern Illinois University, where she met, and ultimately married, Donald Lang. This past August 27, they quietly celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary together, as Rosemarie was trying to recover from health issues. They made their first home in Barrington Il, and Rosemarie spent the next 20+ years as a teacher, tutor and coach; not only to her own children, but to classrooms full of young students as well. She read voraciously, was amazingly talented with needlework and other hand crafts, made the best milk noodles ever, and loved to talk. After years of being summer people she and Don retired and made Trego their permanent home. Even as complications of diabetes took her vision and caused other health problems, Rosemarie remained actively involved with her church, family, friends, canaries and community. She spearheaded the nursing scholarships awarded by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, was an integral part of 40 and 8, organized fund raisers, feasts, celebrations, memorials and more. She wrote the Chicog News in The Spooner Advocate for years - mixing humor, news, weather reports, animal sightings, trivia and advice with a pinch of good old-fashioned gossip. She was always teaching...somebody....something. Rosemarie is survived and already deeply missed by her husband Don, her sons Kurt of Barrington IL and Kory of Spring Grove IL , her daughter Krisellen Lang of Cherokee Village AR, and her grandchildren Addison, Blythe, Carson and Drake Schwaller at their respective college campuses. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends will carry her memory and share her life stories for years to come. If you ever met her, you know...shes not someone you forget. Cremation rites have been accorded as per Rosemaries wishes. A celebration of her life will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UW –Barron County Foundation 1800 College Drive Rice Lake, WI 54868 Attn: Rosemarie Lang Nursing Scholarship Fund.
